The Founder and Head Pastor of the Kings Christian Ministry in Tamale, Bishop Luguterah has said Christian doctors have no excuse joining the ongoing nationwide strike declared by the Ghana Medical Association. He said it is totally unacceptable for Christian doctors to lay down their tools in demand of salary increment. He nonetheless agreed with the doctors indicating that they are entitled to demand their rightful salary if they believe they are being short-changed. According to Bishop Luguterah �Christian doctors should be able to let their Christianity reflect in their dues because the bible says that you don�t light a candle and put it under a bushel. �If people feel that the strike is not good but somehow they are afraid of their leadership then I have a problem with their Christian belief. �We should be able to express our opinion and say as much as we deserve this amount of money or remuneration from the government, we still believe that it is our Christian duty and it is part of our oath as doctors to be able to take care of the lives of people and that is what we stand for�.
