NPP Launches New Electronic Payment System

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) will on Monday launch a new electronic payment system as part of its fund raising drive. The launch will take place at Obra Spot, Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra, at 10:00am in the morning and will be attended by the 2012 Presidential Candidate of the Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, National and Regional Executives as well as Functionaries, members and sympathisers of the party and the media. The Electronic Payment System introduces a new way of paying dues for members and also offers party sympathizers an opportunity to contribute to the fund raising efforts of the Party. The system which will operate in different categories requires card bearing members of the Party to Text NPP, and their Party ID Card Number to the following networks and their corresponding short codes: AIRTEL 2012 EXPRESSO 2012 TIGO 2012 VODAFONE +2012 MTN 12012 Non-card bearing members can also text to these same short codes by sending NPP and their name to the same short codes. For those who will want to contribute more than GHC1. 00 may do so through Airtel Money, Tigo Cash and MTN Mobile Money. Party members and the general public can text as many times to contribute. We urge the general public to come and support the NPP and continue to contribute to building and deepening our democratic process, as we continue to partner in helping build a new society of opportunities.
