Ghanaian Hostage In Somalia To Be Executed In Few Hours

One of the Ghanaian hostages, Francis Koomson Snr, being held captive by Somalia pirates is to be executed in the next few hours. Koomson, who is one of four Ghanaians being held on the MV Iceberg 1 off the Somali coast, is making a passionate and urgent appeal through Citi FM to the President of Ghana, Prof. John Evans Atta Mills and all well meaning Ghanaians across the world to come to his aid. The pirates have already executed two people and in the next few hours the fate of the Ghana national hangs in the balance. Citi News gathers that some of the hostages have had their lips and ears cut off. The Ghanaians include Edward Kofi Asare, Jewel Amiable and a fourth person whose identity is not yet known. Francis Koomson Jnr. , the son of Koomson Snr. had told Citi News last week, He called on Saturday evening and I learnt they are being taken out of the ship to the land, but the destination we cannot tell." He said that they were being beaten but as to cutting of their fingers and ears, it is only being done to [other nationals].
