Kufuor Picks Up Another Award

A former president of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufuor, has added another award to the several others he has received for his exemplary leadership skills. This time around the Ukrainian ministry of Education, Science, Youth and Sports as well as its State Centre of International Education, has conferred on him the �Ukrainian Honorary National award�. The award comes days after he received prize money for the coveted World Food prize which he received together with his Brazilian counterpart, Luiz Lula Da Silva, in recognition of his role in nation building, his interest in providing education, sports, healthcare and democracy to the youth in Ghana. A representative of the Ukrainian government (consul diplomat), Victoria Olvrch, who presented the award to Mr. Kufuor on behalf of the ministry and the International Students Care Organization (ISCO-Ghana), congratulated him for the achievement. On his part, Mr. Kufuor expressed profound gratitude to the government and people of Ukraine for the honour bestowed on him, promising to champion the cause of humanity. He dedicated the award to the people of Ghana for giving him an opportunity to serve them as president for two consecutive terms to improve the lives of his countrymen.
