10-Member Delegation Of Investors In Ghana

A 10-member delegation of investors from the Republics of Belarus, Russia and Poland has arrived in Ghana on a five-day visit. The delegation would visit a number of ministries to explore investment opportunities. General Viktor Sheiman, Special Envoy of the Republic of Belarus to Africa and Head of the delegation, who spoke to the press at the Kotoka International Airport on Monday, said their main aim is to create common enterprises in Ghana that would benefit Ghanaians. He said the areas where the delegation would focus their investments include agriculture where they would supply large quantities of fertiliser in Ghana as well as throughout West Africa, supply tractors and other agricultural equipment. Gen Sheiman said the delegation would also create a company to service the tractors and other equipment locally.It would also propose the establishment of a plant to process agricultural produce in large quantities. Gen Sheiman said the delegation would explore the opportunities of having Ghanaian students studying in Belarus, adding that in the future there would be investments in the modernisation of Ghana�s ports, construction of railways and housing as well as construction of power plants, gas pipelines and mineral extraction.
