Andanis Can't Threaten NDC With Votes - Ablakwa

A Deputy Minister of Information Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has said the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) is in no way worried following threats by the Andani youth never to vote for President Mills come the 2012 elections. The Andani royal gate on Wednesday served notice to NDC officials to find the killers of the late overlord of Dagbon, Ya-Naa Yakubu Andani or risk losing their votes in the upcoming elections. "Nobody can use votes to threaten anybody or perpetrate injustice in this country," Mr. Ablakwa told Joy FM. "There are laws and those laws must be followed." He said no one can be forced to vote for the government or any other party since that is an individual decision and right. Mr. Ablakwa said the Mills-led government will continue to ensure the safety of all Ghanaians, adding that there was nothing wrong with government's promise to find the killers of the Ya-Naa during the 2008 election campaign.
