CHRISTIANS, Muslims and traditional believers have started gathering at Zuarungu Tua, a suburb of the Bolgatanga Municipality in the Upper East region, to pray under the directive of Prophet Peter Anamoh, in order to be saved ahead of today�s doomsday. Zuarungu Tua, an unpopular petty farming and business community, had become popular since Prophet Peter Anamoh predicted that it was one community that would be spared today, when the world was destroyed. Prophet Anamoh, who described himself as �prophet to the nations� and a native of Zuarungu in the Upper East, had predicted that on the eleventh hour of today, Friday November 11, 2011, the world would experience a great disaster which would cause a lot of devastation and take a lot of lives, except the few who would give their lives to Christ and live righteously ahead of the doomsday. These people, according to the prophet, would form a new generation that would live to restructure the world. According to him, two prophecies he gave had come to pass. They were President Barrack Obama going to be the president of the United States of America by 2009, and the overthrow of some leaders in the Arabic countries including Brother Gaddafi of Libya. He was very sure that there would be a great tribulation tonight to confirm his third prophetic prediction. When Daily Guide visited the church premises situated at Trade Fair in Accra yesterday afternoon, there was not a single soul at the place. All the gates were locked, with the place very quiet. Some eight months ago, Prophet Anamoh of the Machaira Community Church, shot into the limelight when he prophesied on numerous media platforms about the end of the world. He said he had made the prophecy on other international media networks and had decided to come home to be with his people at Zuarungu to ensure that those who believed in the prophecy and gave their lives to God are saved. �The third thing I have prophesied is what is going to happen on Friday, November 11, 2011 and that is my last job. That is why I want to finish hard in my own land to ensure that my people will listen to me and turn to God and be saved from the pain and destruction that will hit this world,� he told A1 Radio morning show host in Bolgatanga yesterday. Prophet Peter Anamoh said on the station that when God realized that people were not listening to him as a prophet, He revealed it to scientists to also speak about the great tribulation on Friday, November 11, 2011. According to Prophet Anamoh, a publication he came across on the internet revealed that many governments around the world were aware of the great tribulation and yet they were keeping quiet over it because they couldn�t save their people. Prophet Anamoh revealed that the great tribulation had happened before on earth and was surprised that people were challenging him as though it was not possible. �It has happened three times. Noah�s, number 1, Sodom and Gomorrah time, number 2 and Jericho time, number 3. So this is number 4 that is why I was telling you about the quadruple system of God. This is the number 4 and it will be the last one. The secret is Ghana is connected to this because Ghana has had four republics and after the November 11 incident, Ghana is going to assume a super power status,� Prophet Anamoh explained. Prophet Anamoh, since his return to his hometown, has been criticized widely, with the prophecy of doomsday dismissed. Most people, especially Christians and Muslims who called in to radio stations in Bolgatanga, called him a false prophet. On Wednesday night, hundreds of people gathered at a park in Zuarungu Tua to pray. Checks by Daily Guide yesterday morning revealed that the place was dirty, with empty water sachets littering the place, suggesting that a number of people were there for prayers. Some of the people who came for the service decided to stay in Zuarungu to be part of the services until the eleventh hour on Friday night. Some churches have also been holding evening services to pray for protection for their families, forgiveness of sins and to be saved if the prophecy comes to pass on Friday night. The doomsday prophecy has been the main topic of discussion at drinking spots.
