Daddy Lumba Unites Kufuor And Rawlings

It was a nostalgic and touching feeling at the maiden edition of the Legends and Legacy Ball concert on Saturday November 12, 2011 at the Accra International conference Centre. Purpose??? The celebration and honouring of a living legend, Daddy Lumba. Among the several dignitaries who graced the historic event were former Presidents Jerry John Rawlings, his wife, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings and John Agyekum Kufuor. The event brought lots of unity and love between the two former First families who are from two opposing sides of the political divide. Even their sitting arrangement said it all. Mr. and Mrs. Rawlings were seated on the right, Daddy Lumba in the middle with ex-president Kufuor and his special aide on the left. The two interacted with each other and even shared jokes in the full glare of and to the delight of the over 2000 people who attended the show. When the mad man Kwaw Kesse took his turn on stage to perform, he commended the unity and statesmanship exhibited by the two former Presidents on the night. He shook hands with them, thanked them and insisted Rawlings and Kufuor shook hands. The two stood face to face and shook hands and the crowd could not help but scream and clap.
