Andani Youth To Demonstrate Against Okudzeto And Baba Jamal

The Andani youth in Ashaiman have threatened to go on demonstration on November 25, if the two Deputy Ministers for Information, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and Baba Jamal do not render an unqualified apology to the Andani family in Dagbon. The family at a meeting in Ashaiman resolved to march to the Ministry of Information on the said date to deal with the two Deputy Ministers over their derogatory remarks to the Andani family. Baba Jamal and Okudzeto Ablakwa incurred the wrath of the Andani family in Dagbon when they said government would not succumb to pressure by the Andani youth to arrest the killers of the late Ya-Naa Yakubu Andani II. Alfa Issah Maligu-Naa, Spokesperson for the Ashaiman Andani Youth warned that the family will never relax on their request for justice until the ruling NDC government fulfilled its 2008 campaign promise to the people of Dagbon. He also took a swipe at the Members of Parliament from Dagbon over their continuous silence on the matter since the NDC assumed office in 2009. According to the Maligu-Naa, the Dagbon MPs would not have been in Parliament without the Ya-Naa murder votes. He explained that the NPP suffered in the hands of the Andanis in 2008 because of the murder of the late Dagbon Overlord. The NDC, he said will suffer the same defeat in 2012 if it reneges its campaign promise to the people of Dagbon. He further called for ceasefire on the incessant insults on the party founder Jerry Rawlings personality especially by the NDC General Secretary, Johnson Aseidu Nketiah.
