'Wicked' Mills Is Behind Anyidoho's Empty Threat - Kennedy Agyepong

The outspoken New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyepong has accused President John Mills of being behind Koku Anyidohos threatening comments to deal mercilessly with NPP flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo. The Communications Director at the Presidency, Mr. Anyidoho told London-based Focus Radio on Tuesday that Akufo-Addo, the NPP chairman Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey and former chairman Mac Manu may all die first if they persist with their all-die-be-die mantra. Mr. Anyidoho said government will deal with the NPP flagbearer if he dares incite his supporters to engage in electoral violence next year. I am saying it today that Akufo-Addo should dare, Anyidoho charged. I know Gabby [Otchere-Darko] is in London and listening. Gabby you are my friend and Im telling you that you and that your Akufo-Addo, if you claim to be men, make a wrong move in this country and you will see where power lies. We are waiting for them since they say all die be die. However, speaking in an interview with Citi News, Agyepong, who is the MP for Assin North, said President Mills behaves hypocritically when it comes to issues concerning threatening and violent political language and hides behind his aides to use foul language on his opponents. If he really means peace and as he claims everywhere that he is for peace, he has to condemn his guards. .. President Mills should come out clean. He hides behind these boys he is as wicked as anybody. Nobody should believe him, Agyepong burst out. If he wants us to believe him he should come and criticise Koku Anyidoho if not we would blame him for anything that happens in this country. Meanwhile, a former presidential spokesperson Andrew Awuni has told Citi News his successors recent threatening comments against the main opposition flagbearer must not be taken lightly. According to Mr. Awuni, Anyidoho appears to be carving a niche for himself as an aggressive spokesperson. He added that Anyidohos comments are uncalled for and unpalatable and could reflect on what President Mills thinks unless the president publicly distances himself from them.
