Chealsea's Nicolas Anelka: My Time Is Up

NICOLAS ANELKA is resigned to the fact his Chelsea career is coming to an end. Anelka's current deal expires in the summer and the striker is free to sign a pre-contract with another team at the turn of the year. He has featured sporadically under Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas this season and Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua are reportedly ready to offer him a way out in January. The Frenchman has no desire to quit Stamford Bridge but admits he may have little option with Chelsea apparently unwilling to discuss fresh terms. Anelka said: "I love playing here. "Chelsea has been the best part of my career and it's been great playing and winning with terrific guys like Didier Drogba, John Terry, Frank Lampard and Florent Malouda. "I was hoping to win another league title this season with Chelsea, but now, apparently, it is not to be." Anelka, 32, joined Chelsea from Bolton for 15million in January 2008.
