Ghana Amputee Team Left Stranded In African Cup

The national Amputee team has been left with no assistance despite donations being made to aid their campaign in the ongoing Africa Amputee Championships. Some food items, cash, transport and logistical donations made by some co-operate bodies has been locked up at the premises of the Ministry of Sports while the team struggle to manage a days square meal. The situation is that bad that the team had to eat the food prepared for VIPs on matchday some few minutes before taking to the field in their 2-1 loss to Sierra Leone. Cars and buses donated to facilitate movement of the team during the championships which is being hosted in Ghana are parked at the Ministry while officials and players strive to arrange for proper transportation. Nevertheless, the Black Challenge have managed to qualify for the semi final of the tournament with a 11-0 thrashing of Niger on Wednesday.
