No One Is Interested In Gambila As President - Kofi Adams

A Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, Kofi Adams has taken a swipe at former Upper East Regional Minister, Boniface Gambila for alleging that his detention by the BNI on Thursday was orchestrated by the NDC. Mr. Gambila told Citi News soon after his release from the BNI yesterday that he has been deliberately targeted by the NDC government because he has ambitions of being future president of Ghana on the ticket of the NPP. He said the case for which he was detained and questioned by the BNI is a foolish one which was not necessary. However, speaking to Citi News, Mr. Kofi Adams stated that the candidacy of Gambila for the NPP is the least of the NDCs worries. If Gambila has any future presidential ambition, he should sort that out with his party. They have not even finished marketing their flagbearer[Nana Akufo Addo] for 2012 to start thinking about who they will use in 2016. He commented. Mr. Adams admonished the former NSS boss for hiding behind politics, to condemn the goings-on of the BNI investigations. Are we interested in people who will become president after Nana Addo? If we are looking for people who are potential presidents in the NPP, I dont think anyone will dream of picking Gambila. He opined.
