A 64-year-old retired boxer, George Kofinti, popularly called, �Who are you?� is recuperating at the Hohoe Municipal Hospital after severing his penis in response to a so-called �order by the Holy Spirit.� Mr Kofinti, who lives in a house alone, along the Hohoe-Bla-Lolobi road, was heard throughout the early hours of November 11, chanting war songs. He was later spotted by neighbours with a kitchen knife as he danced on the verandah of the boy�s quarters. According to Mr Kofi Appiah-Ntori, who is in-charge of Bla Police, Mr Kofinti was later seen from the balcony of the adjoining bungalow naked and still singing but after shortly afterwards, he was seen with blood covering part of his body. He said the neighbor, who then suspected Mr Kofinti might be in some difficulty, telephoned the Police who rushed to the scene. The Police found Mr Kofinti lying in a pool of blood, semi-conscious. They found the dismembered penis and rushed him to the Hospital for medical attention. Dr Edwin Danoo, Medical Superintendent of the Hospital, led a team to stabilize his condition, and he is recuperating. Sources close to the victim, however, told the GNA that the victim suffers occasional mental imbalance, which could have led to the incident.
