All-Die-Be-Die Is Only A Colloquial Expression

A Deputy Communications Director of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Yaw Buaben Asamoa has said the statement made by his partys flag-bearer, Nana Akufo Addo that come 2012 all-die-be-die is only a colloquial expression and should not be interpreted to suggest it has the tendency of disturbing the peace of the country. Nana Akufo Addo in February said one must understand that this party (NPP) was formed by courageous people. Our leaders who formed this party that has now become the biggest political movement in Ghana were not cowards. So in 2012 we need to be courageous because all die be die. All die be die. His statement has been condemned by many especially officials of the ruling government who have gone a step further to issue warning stating that if Nana Addo dares disturb the peace of this country, he will be taught where power lies. The latest to issue such a warning is Koku Anyidoho, Director of Communications at the Castle who said the point the president is making through me is that; let them dare, let them dare, let them dare. According to him, If in 2012 Ghanaians vote against President Mills, President Mills will not be worried. And all of us will step asidethe Koku Anyidohos, the Fiifi Kweteys, the Elvis Ankrahs, the Baba Jamals, the Okudzetos, everybody will step aside because that is the will and the wish of Ghanaians. But for someone to stand somewhere and say that Ghana belongs to him so all die be die, at all cost he shall be presidentit will not happen, it will not happen and President Mills will protect the sanctity and the territorial integrity of Ghana. Let Akufo-Addo dare, let him dare and let him dare. Speaking on Good Morning Ghana programme on Metro TV, Yaw Buaben Asamoa said president Mills wants to use hammer to kill a fly which should not be the case. We have a president who declared red alert in parliament when there was no war and today he is calling people warmongers, he added. He said to whom much is given much is expected and the president must know he is the father of the nation and not father of NDC only. John Abu Jinapor, spokesperson of the Vice President, also a panel member of the programme said it is the aim of the NDC to beat Nana Akufo Addo massively in the 2012 elections so he will have no cause to complain about vote rigging. We must beat the NPP well so that all-die-be-die, winning at all cost will be forgotten. Let me repeat, if the NPP makes any wrong move to destabilize the peace of this country, we will deal with them, he warned.
