Nana Addo Takes A Swipe At The President Mills-Led Administration

The flagbearer of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo, has taken a swipe at the President John Evans Atta Mills-led administration saying it lacks the steadfastness to take critical decisions. Akufo-Addo said until the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) consider certain bold and decisive policies Ghana will still remain where it is now. Speaking to students of the University of Development Studies (UDS) Wa Campus over the weekend, the NPP 2012 election candidate said Ghanaians should vote for him because he is bringing onboard a type of political management that would drastically transform the lives of Ghanaians. I am summoning you to lead the call of Ghana to get involve [because] we are at the cross roads of our history, Nana Addo said. The prospects ahead of us are excellent provided we have the right leadership. He added: The leadership that is prepared to take critical decisions to move our country forward. That is the kind of leadership we are talking of in 2013. Akufo-Addo said the next NPP governments policy is to transform Ghana from a raw material producing economy into an industrial one. Our major strategic objective of the next NPP government is how to transform this economy from a raw material producing economy into an industrial economy Dr. Duffuor has just read the budget and told us that 81% of Ghanas foreign receipt comes from the export of raw materials cocoa, gold and now crude oil. That way cannot bring prosperity to our nation we need to industrialize our country and under my leadership we have the courage, rationale, dedication and commitment to make that firm, Nana Addo pointed out.
