CPP To Meet On Nduom's 'Indiscipline'

The Convention Peoples Party (CPP) will today convene a Central Committee Meeting to discuss some pertinent issues within the party and decide on the sanctions to take against the partys 2008 flagbearer, Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom. The CPP, in the past few days has been rocked by serious disagreements on when a congress should be conducted to elect a flagbearer to lead the party for the 2012 general elections. Party chairperson, Samia Nkrumah, on Monday stated that the partys 2008 flagbearer is behind all negative happenings taking place in the party. She hinted that Dr. Nduoms actions could lead to his expulsion from the party. Miss Nkrumah in an interview with Citi News Meanwhile, the National Womens Organiser of the party has kicked against moves to kick out Mr Nduom from the party. Madam Mary Ankomah said the party chairperson has no singular authority whatsoever to expel any member of the party. It is funny because this party like any other party has got a constitution and Samia is just the leader of the party," Ankomah said. "She has not got the veto power and she cant decide for all the members of the party. Madam Ankomah added that Dr. Nduom has not done anything wrong to be expelled from the party. I cant see any indiscipline thing that Paa Kwesi Ndoum has done. When we meet at the central committee then whatever Nduom has done she should bring it out so we decide. By: Citifmonline. com
