Bruces Sack Brightens Gyans Return To Sunderland

The unfortunate sacking of manager Steve Bruce could make Asamoah Gyans return to Sunderland even more likely. Bruce was bitterly disappointed when the Ghana striker quit the Stadium of Light for a more lucrative offer with UAE club Al Ain in September. And the ex Wigan boss frustration was well manifested when he virtually slammed the door at Gyan who is due to return to the Black Cats fold when his season-long loan deal expires at the end of the current campaign. No I dont, I dont believe that, I dont believe hes got a future here, I dont think he can, Bruce said. You cant leave this club and want to go the United Arab Emirates and were going to welcome you back with open arms, I cant see it but you never know. Other people can make their own conclusions. You leave the biggest and best league in the world to go play in the United Arab Emirates. Im sorry but sometimes football, sometimes its baffling to say the least. Very disappointed in the timing of it, the whole thing has left a bad taste if Im being honest. However with Bruces removal, the slate will be wiped clean for the Ghanaian to make a return to England if and only if both the club and player are willing. The new manager (who ever emerges) will have no feeling of animosity towards Gyan and vice versa even though the same supporters and administration to which was left disappointed with the UAE move remains constant.
