"Mills Is Not In New York; Let Him Prove With Video If He Is"

The NPP General Secretary, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, has thrown a challenge to President John Evans Atta Mills and his entourage to provide picture and video evidence that he is currently domiciled in the United States for his annual leave. President Mills on Wednesday spoke to Accra-based Radio Gold where he reacted to speculations of his whereabouts. According to Mr. Owusu Afriyie, his demand for the evidence is just in line with a similar one made by the Communications Director at the Presidency, Koku Anyidoho, who demanded evidence to the effect that the NPP flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo, indeed met with British Premier David Cameron some weeks back. In an interview with Citi News, the NPP scribe asked what shows that he is there? I could be in Accra and I would tell you Im in Tamale, what evidence do you have that you are where you say you are? They should bring us all the photographs and all the tapes. Is that not what Koku Anyidoho asked us to do? Sir John alleged: The man could be ill and be seeking medical attention. He is seeking medical attention, that is the information we have and I trust my sources. Just as he said he is on leave and working, he could also be on leave and receiving medical attention. Ghanaians ought to know the condition of our president. His chemotherapist is not working we are told and therefore he is looking for alternative sources of attention and that is what he is doing, which is right that he should do that, he added.
