Azonto Madness At Decemba 2 Rememba

Accra is warming up for the much-talked about and eagerly awaited Decemba 2 Rememba (D2R) concert as organisers promise to line up on stage a staggering list of show-stopping, hit-racking performances that will be on display at the Accra International Conference Centre on December 24. As party-goers and Christmas revelers within the capital city and beyond brace themselves for an unforgettable climax to the year 2011, its evident that preparations towards the nations official Christmas party have already shifted into fifth gear. As each passing day brings the countrys most anticipated end-of-year event closer, organisers of the Decemba 2 Rememba Concert; Citi 97. 3 FM continue to tease out titillating sneak-peeks into what is shaping up to be a Decemba 2 Rememba. Inquiries into on-going rehearsals and planning sessions toward the event have revealed that DJ Armani will be displaying his skills full throttle with a hip-rattling, limb-swinging Azonto splash during a specialised D2R preconcert club session. In many ways it goes without saying that in the world of entertainment, 2011 will go down in history as the year of Azonto, subsequently it comes as no surprise that in rounding off celebrations of what has been a very eventful year, the package for the 2011 edition of D2R includes another specialised innovation dubbed the D2R Azonto rave. Attendees of D2R 2011 are thus being advised to put on their Azonto dancing shoes and prepare to do the dance themselves while witnessing all the various forms and styles of the famed dance on display. However, these are not the only mouthwatering surprises that the organisers have packaged. Jessica Opare Saforo, Programs Manager for Citi 97. 3 FM has intimated that on the exhilarating night of D2R another delightful surprise awaits participants. Attempts to get her to disclose more details of this surprise only yielded to clues: (a) that the surprise is very funny and (b) that the surprise will come from Nigeria. The ever expanding hit parade for the event continues to get more exciting with the addition of Raquel; singer of the hit track: Sweetie to an already sizzling list of hit-makers and club-bangers which comprises 2011 Hip-hop, Hip-life, Afro-pop and R n B hotshots: 4x4, R2Bees, E. L , Castro, Tiffany, Five-Five, Ketse, Chemphe, R2Bees, Asaase aban, Yaw Siki & Joey B, Akoo Nana, Cash Unit, Eduwoji and still counting.
