Stars Put Up Mega Show @ Loud In GH

YFM, in collaboration with EKB Records, last Saturday pulled off an outstandingly impressive musical concert dubbed Loud in GH at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Center where some of Ghanas finest musicians did what they know how to do best. The show was well attended and the artistes did their best to entertain the packed auditorium. Though almost all the stars on the performing list performed well, some of them were just off the hook, leaving the audience in a near-orgasm feeling. SAMINI Samini could pass as the favorite artiste of the night. He performed with a live band, yet his rhythm and tempo was more danceable than that of some of the artistes who only mimed on stage. During Saminis performance, a nasty scuffle broke in a section of the audience and the musician immediately changed the lyrics of his song and started a free style about the ongoing scuffle. The performance was simply perfect as the audience cheered, applauded and danced along. Samini really rocked the stage as the audience sang and danced along to his tunes. BUK BAK The sensational duo appeared on stage dressed in an all-white outfit. After several years of staying out of mainstream music, Buk Bak proved that it had returned for good and that it was a force to reckon with when it came to stage performance. It started by charming the audience to sing along to some of its favourite old tunes including Komi K3 Kenan, Gonja Barracks Chingelege and Sikeletele. By the time Buk Bak started its new hit, Kolom, the entire auditorium was charged and the cheers were simply deafening. The group proved that indeed it understands the art and act of music. Obour/Okyeame Kwame It was inspiring to see the president of the Musicians Union of Ghana, Obour, performing live on stage with Ghanas rap doctor, Okyeame Kwame. Obour still has that charm in him and did not hide it on stage. Though he was only featuring in Okyeames song, Obour seemed to have received more cheers than Okyeame. But it could be explained that the cheers were because Obour had not been seen on stage in a long time. Jay Ghartey/Tinny Tinny appeared on stage for less than five minutes, when he featured in a performance with Jay Ghartey. They two did a good job that got the audience yearning for more. There were also spectacular performances from Trigmatic, Eazzy, R2Bees, Tiffany, D. Cryme, Sarkodie, Raquel, Stonebouy and others. In all, the show lived up to expectation and the organizers deserve to be congratulated.
