The NPP MP for Assin North Kennedy Agyepong has described as irresponsible, comments made by the leader of the United Renaissance Party, Chuck Kofi Wayo, that a large percentage of drug barons in the country are NPP elements.
Mr. Wayo was quoted as saying President Mills should set up a crack team of investigators to crack the puzzle of what he suspects as a drug ring determined to smear his government with cocaine. Mr. Wayo said he is also in the know that the NPP tolerated the drug barons during their reign. However, speaking to Citi News, the Assin North MP stated that Wayo has no locus to run down anybody because no one in Ghana knows what he does for a living.
�He is very irresponsible, he has not done anything in this country and he thinks any successful man is a cocaine dealer. Ask Kofi Wayo what work he does, he should tell Ghanaians what he does,� Agyepong charged.
He added: �Let President Mills set a committee of inquiry and investigate everybody in this country and we would see who is a drug dealer and who is not � It�s rubbish. �
