Woyomes Fortune Haunts Alfred Agbesi

The Member of Parliament for Ashaiman, Alfred Kwame Agbesi, has issued a disclaimer that he is not the beleaguered NDC bankroller, Alfred Agbesi Woyome. He said people in his constituency are confusing him with Mr. Woyome who has been in the news for receiving a GhC42 million judgment debt over what he describes as the illegal termination of his contract to renovate various stadia in the country. Speaking to Citi News, the Ashaiman MP outlined the undue pressure the Woyome saga has brought on him. I am not Alfred Agbesi Woyome, I am Alfred Kwame Agbesi and when this matter came, people are only calling me Alfred Agbesi and concluding that it is in reference to me, he said. I am not Alfred Agbesi Woyome who has got that money theyre talking about. The primaries are coming and they are talking on that level that you have got money so let us see it Even colleague MPs who are on the other side of the divide think that Im the one. Even this morning, Assembly Members of my assembly in Ashaiman had the impression that all over Ashaiman it is Agbesi who got this money, he stated. So, Agbesi Christmas is coming, Agbesi my rent, Agbesi my this etc like you have walked into some fortune so let us share together meanwhile Im not the one. It is creating a big problem for me politically and financially, Mr. Agbesi added.
