Hotelier To Sue GHALCA Over Unpaid Bills

Sunyani-based Porsche Chersville Hotel has filed a writ against the Ghana League Clubs Association for unpaid pay bills incurred during the G8 tournament, Ghanasoccernet.com can reveal. The amount running to GH� 5,400 includes the hotel accommodation and other facilities used by the organizers during their stay. It will be recalled that the Group A matches were played in Sunyani including the first semi-final match. Hotel owner and businessman, Chester Owusu, claims he finding it difficult retrieving the amount. He told Ghanasoccernet: �Can you believe that up till now I cannot reach any of the organizers to have a concrete discussion as to how to get my money back because each of them keep on directing me to the other.� �It was Blue Boy (Kofi Manu) who came to personally discuss with me about the hotel but when I called him requesting for my money. �He even insulted me several times on phone which means they are not ready to pay me a penny of then GH� 54,00.�Now I have talked to my lawyers and we have filed the suit so they (GHALCA) will hear from us soon because I don�t work this way.�Whether GHALCA or what I need to pay my workers and that is all I need.� When contacted, Kofi Manu admitted owing the hotelier but explained that unpaid sponsorship monies have crippled the body. Clubs, who played in the inaugural edition of the pre-season G8 tournament, are yet to be paid participating fee arrears.
