Cocaine-Turned Baking Soda Saga...BNI 'Re-Arrests' DSP Mawuenyega

The Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) has re-arrested the head of the Commercial Crimes Unit of the Police CID, DSP Gifty Mawuenyega Tehoda, after she was freed today, a day after a court ordered her release. DSP Tehoda has been in BNI custody since December 29, 2011 for the alleged role she played in the cocaine-turned-baking soda matter. After her release on Friday, DSP Tehoda said she needs more time to recover from her ordeal before she can make it back to work. But in a new twist, her husband Mr Tehoda in an interview on Citi Eyewitness News a while ago, said his wife has been taken back to the BNI annex at 37 to give further briefing on the issue after her superiors had ordered her to make a statement earlier in the day.
