The National Lottery Authority (NLA) in partnership with Airtel and Edlorm Housing Limited have launched the �WOW� sms lottery. The Director General of NLA, Mr. Kojo Andah, said the NLA withdrew their first mobile lottery games in the last quarter of 2011 to enable them create and develop a broader lottery platform capable of carrying variety of games to meet the needs of today�s dynamic mobile lottery patrons. It is in view of this plans that the �WOW� sms lottery has been introduced to make it convenient for customers to play their games and also bring legal sanity into the lottery games and improve business. On his part, Mr. Philip Sowah, the Managing Director of Airtel said that �in line with Airtel�s brand promise of �more freedom to do,� the WOW sms lottery comes at an opportune time because the beginning of the year can be stressful on the purchasing power of families as they have to recover from the expenditures of the Yuletide, at the same time preparing for recurrent expenditures like paying rent, school fees and other financial obligations. The �WOW� sms lottery will run from now till the end of March 2012 with the ultimate prize being two houses at Edlorm Villars and GHc10, 000. 00 to be won every week among many other consolation prizes including laptops, scholarship, and mobile phones.
