Nine-Month-Obaby Burnt To Death At Dansoman

A nine-month-old baby boy has been burnt to death this Tuesday afternoon after he was trapped in a room that caught fire at Dansoman in Accra, close to the Mr. Biggs Fast Food Joint. The brother of the deceased, 6, who was with him during the fire outbreak, however, managed to escape unhurt. The exact cause of the fire is immediately unknown. We spoke to one of the residents who said the lights went off and it came back on after 30 minutes, but it seems there were certain [electrical] appliances still on, Lawrence Allotey, the Dansoman fire station officer, who was at the scene, told Citi News. That must have started the fire. He said the baby was already singed to death before they arrived at the scene to control the fire. Mr. Allotey said his outfit is investigating the exact cause of the fire outbreak.
