Give Betty Mould Iddrisu The Benefit Of Doubt - Nana Akomea

The Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akomea says the wrangling in the Mills-led administration is casting a slur on the integrity and reputation of the nation. According to him, governments communication machinery should desist from fingering the NPP flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the bearer of bad news about the country to the rest of the world and rather solve their problems. The NPP MP for the Okaikoi South said this in reaction to allegations made by a Deputy Minister for Information, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, accusing the NPP flag bearer of lying to the world that Ghana under President Mills was in a state of leadership paralysis. However, speaking to Citi News, Nana Akomea said the NDC government should conduct internal introspection instead of playing the blame game. On the matter of Betty Mould Iddrisu appearing before the Public Accounts Committee on the 94 million Euros judgement debt payment to Construction Pioneers (CP), Nana Akomea said Ghanaians should give Betty Mould Iddrisu the benefit of doubt. "When they invited her, they should have told her the purpose of the invitation so that she would have tried to get whatever documents that she needed in order to help the work of the committee" Nana Akomea said. He added "I was a little surprised when she said she needed to go back and get the documents but lets give her the benefit of the doubt, it is early days yet, the committee is still sitting in public so all of us will know what is going blow by blow".
