The no-nonsense maverick politician of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) of Assin North, Akumpraku Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has thrown a challenge to the Central Regional Minister of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Ama Benyiwa Doe to come to his constituency with the same motive, trick and game plan to meet a tougher resistance than that of 2008.
�Go and tell Ama Chavez, that I Kennedy, I am challenging her to her old tactics and game, she would run and leave her slippers behind. The other time it was some small boys who chased her out; but this time she dares not. I am law abiding so I would not condone any unorthodox method by any one at my constituency. I have been there for the past 16 years and I say no challenger�, he blurted.
He said that he showed a little bit of his powers at Peace FM to her when she tried to play below the belt; am still saying that if she plays her usual tricks of which I learn she is rehearsing, I shall show her a bigger and mightier force.
He added that he has been told that they are marshalling efforts to dislodge me but, it won�t work, I shall defeat them again, no matter what. Ken who quoted Proverbs 26:5 to give grounds to his tit for tat style of politics said he does what he does because the Bible allows that. �Look, if we don�t match the NDC boot for boot, eyeball to eyeball foot for foot, they would continue to use cheating, intimidation, stealing to secure electoral victory which is not theirs. Let me say that we shall not allow them an inch to maneuver this year so they better play by the rules. I think we have had enough of their threats,� he stated with anxiety.
Ken who wielded some amount of documents he was quoting from assured the NPP supporters who had gathered at James Town Mantse Palace grounds on the 18th February 2012 that he would release batches of documents involving dubious judgment debts paid by the Mills administration since 2009.
He called on the President to cease forth with the payments of judgment debts or be hauled before the law-courts to answer legal questions. �I can say with every certainty that, Mills is the most corrupt or incompetent leader Ghana has ever hard, but he has presented himself in a Godly and innocent manner; but he is not! We are closely watching him, we shall expose him soon,� he promised.
