Illegal Builders Should Prepare For War - AMA Boss

The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has underscored the need for residents to be mindful of places in the capital that they put up buildings. The authority promised it will continue to work towards its mandate of championing the course of residents. The AMA mayor, Alfred Vanderpuije, who was speaking to Citi News following victory in his favour in a court suit over a demolishing exercise noted that he will not be threatened in his attempts to build a better city. The AMA is up and doing and it is focused on its mandate and that is to serve the people in the right direction, he said. And so if people who think that they have the resources to build but without permit should be warned. He said the latest victory by the AMA against a private land owner is indicative of its good works. He said nothing will stop the AMA from doing "the right thing".
