King Edward, The Slave

Edward Owusu Boateng, commonly and popularly known in the media circles as KING EDWARD, THE SLAVE was Born in Kumasi in the very early 70s.

He is a Ghanaian radio broadcast journalist with HELLO FM, a subsidiary of the Despite Media conglomerate.

King is the anchor/ host of the station's morning shows, Kookrokoo in Kumasi and its weekend edition, dubbed Akokoabon.

He started his media work some 20 years ago with Kumasi based Radio Mercury, as a sports host and analyst and somewhere along the line, combined the print and electronic as he became the regional lead and senior reporter of Kotoko Express, which later metamorphosed as Soccer Express.

A product of Konongo Odumasi, secondary school where he obtained his Advanced level certificate in 1991, King has since undertaken several short and online studies to improve himself and has acquired tremendous experience learning on the job.

King's articulation in the Twi and English language is one of his key tools and his ability to conduct interviews, top draw.

He has covered a significant amount of major event locally and internationally, notably the United Nations 73rd General Assembly.
A serial nominee of awards, and has won quite a number of them.
King is married with five kids.

He enjoys reading and sightseeing as his past times, and dreams of reading law in the near future
