One of Africa�s leading carriers South Africa Airways said Ghana is now one of its top revenue generation destinations in its operations across the globe.
The company has increased its flight frequencies on the Accra route to five times a week and even has plans to make it six.
The airline has seen improved profit margins partly as a result of the 2010 World Cup which was held in South Africa.
In an interview with Citi Business News, the Country Manager for South Africa Airways, Gloria Yirenkyi, said the airline�s Accra route has seen some growth despite increased competition in the industry.
�If we are talking specifically of the station�s performance, it is one of the best performing stations for the company. Accra is one of the top 10 best performing destinations for SA since 2010, during the World Cup, and it still remains so,� she opined.
Meanwhile, business operators and traders who do business in China can afford a stress-free journey to that country as South Africa Airways introduces a direct flight to Beijing.
According to Yirenkyi, the move is part of the company�s expansion program which is expected to provide convenience to customers.
