Avail Yourself Of Mortgages - Addo-Kufuor

The Chief Operating Officer of Ghana Home Loans, Mr Kojo Addo-Kufuor, has once again called on Ghanaian workers in both public and private sectors as well as the self-employed to avail themselves of mortgage products in order to acquire their dream homes.

He has, therefore, urged workers, especially the youth, to create wealth and attain financial independence through the acquisition of properties with mortgage companies.

Mr Addo-Kufuor renewed the challenge at the launch of a nationwide subscription service called the ‘Property Deal of the Week.’

The new service sends prospective home buyers weekly bulletins on properties for sale when they send a single text “GHL” to short code 1987.

The weekly updates include information on the location of the property, the type of house, price, number of bedrooms, monthly mortgage repayments, and the monthly income required to qualify for a mortgage. The service is currently offered across all networks.

Expatiating on the new service, the chief operating officer said the subscription service was the latest in a series of innovations that the company had launched to assist home buyers in their search for properties.

Ghana Home Loans currently facilitates the search for properties via its online database at www.ghlpropertyfinder.com, housing fairs that are held twice a year at its forecourts, as well as weekly mortgage clinics that are also held on the company’s premises.

He added that the ‘Property Deal of the Week’ service was the latest phase in the ‘One Mortgage Project’ which Ghana Home Loans launched in 2010 to create a nation of home owners.

Mr Addo-Kufuor expressed his hope that the new product would provide all the key facts and figures for home buyers who were considering property acquisition.

He also stressed that Ghana Home Loans offered the necessary customer support and guidance to make the mortgage application process as pain-free and as straight forward as possible.
