From this month onwards, pensioners will receive a minimum of 100 Ghana Cedis as their monthly pension.
That is according to the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT). This is in accordance with Section 80 of the National Pensions Act, 2008, Act 766.
In a statement, the Trust said all pensions-in-payment as at December 31 has been increased by a fixed rate of 12 percent and a flat amount of 21.36 Ghana Cedis.
This gives an overall indexation rate of 22.6 percent for this year. The Trust extends a fruitful new year to all pensioners
