The current load shedding is about to get worse after GRIDCO, generators of electricity in Ghana on Monday instructed the Electricity Company of Ghana to shed an additional 400 megawatts of electricity across the country.

Public Relations Officer of the ECG William Boateng confirmed this to JoyFM.

This means residential and commercial users of electricity in the country will have to brace up for even more calamitous outages.

According to the ECG PRO, shedding 400 megawatts of power is just the same as putting off the whole of Ashanti, Volta, Eastern and Central Regions of Ghana.

Already, many residents and businesses are complaining bitterly about the erratic power supply irregular load shedding exercise.

The ECG PRO confirmed that the country is not following any time table for the load shedding.

Electricity supply will be curtailed depending on the megawatts the ECG is instructed to shed by GRIDCO on a particular day, according to William Boateng.
