Vodafone Healthline 255 To Offer Expert Medical Advice On Phone

After producing three seasons of the award winning CSR television programme, Healthline, Vodafone Foundation has launched another pioneering health initiative exclusively for their customers.

HealthLine255 is a medical call centre, run by doctors and nurses and powered by the world’s best triage system, which guarantees accurate medical advice.

It is the first of its kind in Africa and will provide expert medical advice to people in need of quality healthcare from the convenience of their phones. Healthline 255 opens daily from 4pm to 10pmincluding Sundays.The triage system is currently used by eighty million people worldwide across Europe, Australia, India and Brazil to power their National Health Service.

Head of Brands and Corporate Communications at Vodafone, Carmen Bruce-Annanat the launch of ‘Healthline 255’ was excited Vodafone was empowering Ghanaians to further to take control of their health.

“We appreciate that Ghanaians are very passionate about their health and we want to offer them the platform to discuss all their healthcare concerns with professionals who will give them the right attention. For the first time in Ghana, expert medical advice is just a phone call away and this bold initiative will impact positively on our customers.”

CEO of Vantage medical Solutions and Clinical Director for Healthline 255, Dr.Bryite Asamoah, was thrilled quality healthcare delivery is just a phone call away and this is irrespective of people’s financial circumstance or social status. “Healthline 255 is another phenomenal initiative that will transform lives and reduce the stress people go through to get medical service.”

Healthline 255 is an extension of Vodafone Ghana’s award winning television programme, Healthline. At the CIMG Awards a fortnight ago, Healthline for the second year in a row was nominated as the ‘Best television Programme of the Year.
