Broll Ghana; noted for its corporate excellence, is bracing itself to win more awards during the seventh annual Ghana Property Awards ceremony to be held later this year.

It is on record that Broll Ghana grabbed the Commercial Property Management Award category at the sixth annual Ghana Property Awards ceremony held in November 2013, and to Mr Kofi Ampong, Chief Executive Officer of the company, the sky is the limit.

“This is pleasing recognition of the contribution we have made so far, but we look forward to doing more in the years ahead. Ghana doesn't have a well-recognised standard for grading industrial properties but this is changing fast as more and more new properties are built to international standards,” he said in a statement issued in Accra at the weekend.

The annual award recognises excellence in the property industry. As the designated award recipient, Broll Ghana was identified alongside leading owners from the industrial, office, residential and other key real estate sectors.

The awards are targeted at real estate companies, financial institutions and training, regulatory authorities, professional institutions and the public.

Broll Ghana, which is part of the CBRE Affiliate Network, offers the full spectrum of property-related services including commercial broking, property valuations, retail broking and consulting, corporate real estate services, facilities management, property management, shopping centre management and residential estate management.

“Winning top honours validate our leadership position in providing professional services that help our clients in all their endeavours. We offer the ideal services and solutions to support them,” says Ampong.

“There are a lot of exciting changes taking place within Broll Ghana, and these are aimed at pushing us to the next level.

“Our vision is to be the leading property services provider and the pacesetter in the Ghanaian property services industry and our mission is to apply the highest level of professionalism, technological innovations, skills and management creativity in line with international best practices to maximise the property potential of our clients,” he said.

“Our systems and procedures are benchmarked against the ISO9001:2008 standard – an international benchmark respected by all investors – and that means you get a tailored solution that meets world class standards, no matter where your properties are situated.”

Mr Ampong said Broll Ghana’s appointment to the management and leasing of the ground-breaking Accra Mall in 2006 was a strong vote of confidence in its retail experience.

“This project was the largest of its kind in West Africa at the time, and nothing could be left to chance. To date the mall has flourished beyond expectations and plans are in place to increase the size of this Ghanaian pace setter,” he said.

Moses Luri, Head of Retail Broking for Broll Ghana, says the award is recognition from its peers and customers of the company's effort and hard work in the property industry.

"This is the third award won by Broll Ghana and the second time we have won this category," Luri said.

Broll Ghana currently manages more than $100 million worth of property spread all over Ghana including Accra Mall, A&C Square, Ridge Tower and Premier Tower.

“We are also responsible for leasing at the West Hills Mall (WHM) at Dunkonah. WHM is West Africa’s Biggest Shopping Complex in the western part of Accra,” Mr Luri said.

The awards are judged by a committee made up of industry players who vote for the winner after a select few have been shortlisted.

Mr Luri said: “In the five years since the company was registered in Ghana, the Broll team has consistently endeavoured to introduce and maintain professional services that are satisfactory to clients. The Broll Ghana team deserves to be commended for their hard work.”

The Ghana Property Awards is the premier award scheme instituted to honour distinguished real estate developers and those in the real estate market in Ghana.

The reward has grown over the years to become the biggest in the industry award, which serves as the measuring rod for practitioners and allied stakeholders in the business.

The prestigious awards involve stakeholders in the real estate business in Ghana including estate developers, insurance companies, construction companies and many others.

It is a collaboration with Ghana Real Estate Developers Association and other well-meaning institutions.

As part of its core objectives, the award recognises and rewards innovative solutions to the challenges that confront property development in Ghana. It also seeks to encourage high quality standards as well as promote confidence in the real estate and property industry.

The awards help to safeguard and strengthen interest of stakeholders in the industry and to promote a strategic platform for interaction between the different stakeholders in the industry.

Broll Ghana brings international experience to the table thanks to its affiliation with global property services leader CB Richard Ellis.

There are four cornerstones to Broll’s success and these are: People – The lean management structure empowers staff to take responsibility and act on their own initiative. This flexibility means client’s requests will be fulfilled quickly and efficiently; Process – Broll Online, the industry- leading proprietary software, enables client’s to monitor all important management criteria from anywhere in the world; Position – Not only does Broll have offices across the country, the company is represented in Namibia, Nigeria, Malawi and South Africa. Through its CB Richard Ellis affiliation it offers a global presence; Performance – Through its extensive network of Broll Ghana partnerships, clients get the benefit of exposure to global best practice.
