The Public Policy Director of Vodafone Group, Markus Reinisch is in Ghana on a two-day working visit to the franchise.
Whiles in the country, he will take the opportunity to engage key stakeholders in the Policy and Regulatory environment as well as key Government officials, Advocacy groups and a section of the Media.
At a time when policy regulation in the telecoms sector continues to experience a lot of public scrutiny, Markus’ presence in the country will afford the Vodafone Group an opportunity to learn at first hand the changes taking place in Ghana’s Telecommunications industry and how to better position itself for further growth.
Markus was appointed Group Public Policy Director in October 2012 and is responsible for leading the development and practice of public policy for Vodafone Group, both internally and with external government and regulatory bodies.
Before taking this position, he has held senior regulatory roles in Vodafone Germany and Vodafone Group and has been active in the telecoms industry for more than 15 years as Director, Regulatory Development for the COLT Group.
Markus has also worked for other companies such as Orange and Deloitte Consulting. He holds an LL.M. from Warwick University and a master law degree from Vienna University.
