Mango traders in the Brong Ahafo region have call on government to reduce fuel prices since it frequent increment is gradually collapsing their business.
Speaking to ATV news team, the traders revealed that all support that was coming from government previously have ceased.
According to them due to this ceased of support from the current government some of them have to use their own money in purchasing some insecticides and other Agro chemical products which will help in growing the mangoes and also preserve them for the market.
‘Now we buy chemicals at a very expensive price and we believe this are all as a result of the increment in fuel prices. I sometimes buy chemicals at Ghc2000 but can’t even make Ghc1500 after selling my mangoes.
This is killing my business. The exporters don’t even come anymore to trade with us because we lack good agricultural materials to preserve them for export’ a trader told ATV reporter.
