Following the International Monetary Fund clarification of $2billion Sinohydro deal with China as not a loan, the lies of Haruna Iddrisu, Cassiel Ato Forson, Adongo and the minority have been exposed as Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is vindicated.
The clarification comes after the NDC’s letter jointly signed by Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu and Cassiel Ato Forson, who is a Ranking Member of the Finance Committee dated August 10, 2018, was sent to the IMF Resident representative in Ghana, Natalia A. Koliadina and copied to the Country Director of the World Bank.
It notified the Bretton Woods institutions “on the illegality and technical concerns on the Sinohydro transaction between the Government of Ghana and Sinohydro of Ghana and Sinohydro of China.”
But time has once again vindicated the Vice President of Republic, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as the International Monetary Fund has said government's $2bn with China to provide infrastructure in return for processed bauxite cannot be classified as a loan.
Dr, Bawumia has constantly maintained that the deal is a creative solution to Ghana’s infrastructure deficit because it is leveraging what you have to get what you don't have and therefore cannot be termed as a loan.
Vice-President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in simplicity, describes it as government bringing land and China bringing a tractor.
According to him, the $2 billion barter deal signed between the Government of Ghana and Sinohydro of China is expected to bring massive transformation, especially in the road sector. Many world-class roads, including dual carriages and overpasses would be constructed throughout Ghana but the NDC is against such development.
Afraid that the deal would see to the unprecedented infrastructural development of the country, the minority NDC is doing everything within its power to sabotage the deal but IMF says the deal cannot be classified as a loan.

HOW DID THE IMF RESPOND? BY LETTER OR BY MOUTH? BECAUSE WE HAVEN'T SEEN AN OFFICIAL REPLY FROM THE IMF YET. NPP WANNA DECIEVE GHANAIANS BUT IT WONT WORK.. WE'VE GROWN PASS IT
THEY STEAL EVERYTHING AND EVEN STEAL ACADEMIC WORK. THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO ARE YEARNING TO BE OUR LEADERS AGAIN. MAY GOD FORBID.
well bawumiaa is indeed vidicated. after distributing expired goods if he is not vidicATED THEN WHAT AGAIN
Sources indicate that IMF has said nothing about the petition, so we wait for IMF response before believing
What saddens me here is how we do not believe in our own ingenuity and intellect to the point that we had to wait for IMF response to know know that what the govt did was good for the country. As for the NDC they only reveal how very incompetent and selfish they are. I hope these current group of NDC are not given the opportunity to run the country in a loooong while.
All these people are shallow thinkers. They dont have vision. Anyway they have joined a political party which has no vision. Look at their leader John Mahama. For 8 whole years he could not the dumsor and today he says he is coming back. After all this disgrace. Ghanaians are ready for him.
What political suicidal is this matter? In these country everything is tinted with party colours. So even any good thing for the country cannot be properly implemented. Govt in power do not consult opposition for anything, so as to claim all glory.Opposition on the other hand will make all sorts of claims should govt in power include them to implement any social intervention. Use1ess democracy being practice here by se1fish people .
Nobody has been exposed. They only went and seek for clarification on the transaction period. IMF has clarified it. We have all learnt the correct position. Ghana wins!! We treat everything here with political colours. Meanwhile it is Ghanaians who are going to pay and not NPP people.
HARUNA IDDRISU, ATO FORSON AND ISSAC ADONGO HAS ALL BEEN PUT TO SHAME AS THE IMF CLEARS THE AIR THAT SINOHYDRO OF CHINA DEAL IS NEVER A LOAN. DR MAHAMUDU BAWUMIA IS AN ECONOMIC GURU AND ECONOMIC SOOTHSAYER.
It is a big political suicide for NDC. Come 2020 the tapes would to be played on campaign platforms. NDC never thinks about Ghana.
