The Chief Quality Officer at Kempinski Hotels and Member of the Management Board, Benedikt Jaschke, has called on customers and potential customers of the hotel to interact with the 'Ladies in Red' anytime they visit the hotel for quality services, stating that the Ladies in Red are cultural ambassadors and well-versed in the history of Kempinski.

"Ladies in Red are cultural ambassadors, well-versed in the history of Kempinski, the brand values, and knowledge about Ghana. Please take a moment to interact with them whenever you stay with us," he said.

Benedikt Jaschke made the assurance after the commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the ‘Lady in Red’ at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra which is marked in all 79 Kempinski Hotels worldwide.

“The Lady in Red is more than just guest relations: her competencies go beyond that and ultimately she can act at a Head of Department level,” he said.

He stated that, “In our hotels today, guests have the opportunity to contact and visit the Front Desk, we have a long history of Concierges – the humble servants who know all about the destination and make every wish happen – and for the last 10 years we have also had the Lady in Red; a role that eventually became iconic. Today it is recognised as part of our DNA, a fundamental part of the experience in any Kempinski hotel.”

Benedikt Jaschke further explained that the Ladies in red are instantly recognisable in their radiant striking red attire which is adapted and tailor-made to reflect the local cultural influences of Ghana.

“As the symbol of passion, warmth and soul, red was the perfect colour in which to present these cultural ambassadors, who play a pivotal role in every guest stay. You won't miss them once you are in the hotel lobby,” he added.

The Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City on Friday joined the Kempinski Hotels worldwide to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the ‘Lady in Red’. The event brought together corporate clients, content creators, event planners and media personnel to a cocktail treat.

The ‘Lady in Red’ is a highly emblematic position created by Kempinski Hotels ten years back, to provide a genuinely personalised and intuitive guest experience based on cultural empathy, guest intelligence and an understanding of each individual guest’s needs.

As this unique brand ambassador welcomes guests in each hotel of the elegant luxury hotel brand around the globe, every hotel of Kempinski Hotels pays tribute to the Lady in Red this year.

To mark the 10-year anniversary of ‘Lady in Red’, Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra put together several activities from 17th January 2020 and it is expected to end on January 26.

One of the Ladies in Red at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra, Astrid Akita, said that more than 150 Ladies in Red gracefully represent Kempinski over the portfolio, coming from all

walks of life and from more than 30 countries. “There are even some Gentlemen in Red, for example at the Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin,

which can be recognised by their red tie and red socks. Indeed, a Lady in Red is no mere wallflower,” she added.

Astrid Akita again stated that, “We are approachable, attentive and curious, but discrete and cultivated at the same time, good-mannered, polite, but also discerning. We all share the Kempinski perspective on luxury that it must be rare, must be felt and must be original. In fact

we are always ready to pick up on small hints that might reveal how we can add a dash of magic to a guest’s stay.”
