On Friday, 10th December, 2021, the Chamber of Patriotic Entrepreneurs, a community of small and large-scale private business owners who share a common goal of driving the country’s economy through entrepreneurship, held its maiden youth entrepreneurship summit at GIMPA.
The theme for the summit was ''Entrepreneurship; Raising Business Leaders as the Backbone of the Danquah-Dombo-Busia tradition''.
The Chamber of Patriotic Entrepreneurs was birthed against the backdrop of the ideology of the New Patriotic Party being a capitalist party that believes in private ownership of businesses and industrialization as the most effective and prudent way to bring about the needed development in the country.
It is without a shred of doubt that the NPP’s ideology and policies which have been implemented over the years after Ghana gained independence have proven to be solutions that work for the good of the ordinary Ghanaian.
Speaking at the event was Mr. Emmanuel Adumua Bossman, Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr. Baffour Okyere Sarpong, member of the Interim Maangement Committee, TOR, Mr Ofosu Nkansah, CEO of Accra Digital Center, Mr Roni Nicol, Former Deputy CEO of State Housing Company ,Stephen Naasei Boadi , Digital strategist , Dr. I. T Yusif (Dr. Tedam)and other influential persons in the NPP and in attendance were members of TESCON, GIMPA chapter, Bold Patriots, Gallant Queen’s, a volunteer group of the NPP amongst other youth activists.
The Deputy Chief of Staff, who chaired the program, in his address encouraged the youth to equip themselves with the requisite skills and also explore as well as take advantage of the many opportunities and resource avenues that the Akuffo-Addo-led government has made available to the Ghanaian people.
The various speakers took turns in sharing their expertise and some of the challenges that confronted them in their many years of being in entrepreneurship as well as politics.

The speakers also encouraged the youth who were present at the summit and the leadership of the New Patriotic Party to not just end the digitalization agenda at the governance level but also transcend it to every sphere of party administration, with regard to the mapping out of young entrepreneurs who need assistance from the Party.
The Chamber intends to provide mentorship, start-up capitals and support to scale-up already existing businesses with particular focus on the youth.
The youth, who attended the summit, were very much elated to hear of the assistance that the Chamber intends offering them.
''We are hopeful that the Chamber will continue with this great initiative to see to the fruition of the ideas that have been hatched.''
