The Institute of Human Right & Social Policy (IHRSP) in collaboration with Child Rights International (CRI) is admitting individuals and institutions to undergo the following training programme:
-Child Protection System
-Child Welfare and Discipline
-Child Guidance and Counselling
-Personality dimensions of Children
A team of professionals with higher education from the University of Edinburgh, UK, University of Pretoria, SA, Germany and Ghana in child protection issues and social policy as well as professionals with practical knowledge in the various fields of social policy will be handling the courses. There will be a visiting lecturer from Canada.
2. COURSE DURATION:
The course is scheduled to take place from 26th March 2013.
Class duration is two (2) weeks for weekend students and two (2) weeks for weekday students. Classes will be held on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 5 -7 pm for weekday students.
Weekend classes will begin at 10am – 2pm on Saturdays and 2pm – 4pm on Sundays.
3. REGISTRATION AND FEE:
Registration begins on 1st March 2013. Registration form is sold at GHC 50.00.
Programme fee is GHC 1000 but has been subsidized by programme partners therefore fee to pay is GHC 500. The second batch admission will start from 19th March 2013
4. WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Persons who fall under the following criteria can sign up for the course:
*Individuals who intend working with children
*Police and Prison Officers
*Banks and institutions operating kid’s accounts
*Human Resource Managers
*Sunday School and Muslim School Teachers.
NB: Special training is available for institutions that require special training for their staff
