Kindly help me in the analysis of scenarios about arguably the two most powerful and influential persons, President John Mahama and NPP 2016 Presidential candidate on how each of them deal with issues affecting their followers.

After the analysis, I’m sure you can best state which of them truly exhibit leadership skills and willingness to offer his followers solutions by listening to their needs and demands.

Nana Addo's scenario:

Ghanaians cried out in for peace before, during and after 2012 elections saying “Nana Addo and Mahama, we as Ghanaians plead with either of you who loses this election petition court case to please accept the verdict especially you Nana Addo because of your WARMONGER tag by the NDC.

(After the court verdict, Nana Addo/NPP lost, even though all the facts were in their favor)

Nana Addo’s response: Even though I don't agree with the verdict because all the facts were in our favor, I will still accept the verdict because of the strong love I have for Ghanaians and the strong promise I made to Ghanaians to accept whatever verdict that came out, whether it went in my favor or not.

Ghanaians again: “Nana Addo, this affirmative decision won't help NPP win the 2016 elections and through that also won't serve Ghana well because another four years rule of Ghanaians by the NDC from 2017 will be like a suicide mission for us.

Nana Addo response: Even though I supported this affirmative decision because we know it will help NPP and Ghana better, we will still change it because of the numerous cry of Ghanaians of its wrong timing, so we rather consider it later when its time is due.

Now Mahama's Scenario

Ghanaians pleaded: Mahama, we all know how much the international price of crude oil affects the standard of living of Ghanaians through the price of petrol, gas, diesel, Premix fuel, kerosene and others in Ghana.

Boss, crude oil has been reduced in the world market to more than half of its previous price, please reduce the price of at least petrol, gas and diesel so that it could positively affect our lives by lessening our economic burdens.

Note because of this dumsor, it is this same petrol, gas and diesel we use to power our generators.

ooh we beg Mahama, we are seriously on our knees.

Mahama’s response: Ghanaians, I won't reduce it, I'm even going to charge you another tax levy on it to check and absorb future unexpected increases of crude oil in the world market

Ghanaians again: Mahama, please this dumsor is killing us, please help do something about it for us.

Mahama response: Ghanaians, to solve this dumsor, it will take sometimes, maybe a long time and as we wait till that time, I will rather burden you with another increase in the cost of electricity and other tariff rates.

Ghanaians begged: Please Mahama, your increasing rate of borrowing is one of the reasons why we are going through this economic torments, please Mahama reduce the borrowing.

Mahama to Ghanaians: Ghanaians, I will borrow today, tomorrow and forever, I have even issued another Eurobond as I talk with you now.

Ghanaians implored Mahama saying: Mahama, we are suffering, times are really hard in Ghana.
Unemployment, high cost of living and others are killing us, please do something about it for us

Mahama’s responded like: You Ghanaians are very ungrateful, you are always lying about the standard of living to your relatives outside, I won't listen to your cry (yentie obiaa), you can die from the hardships you are going through of which I'm the cause though.
Actually, I have a thick skin, I'm like a dead animal (aboafunu), I don't care about your cries, shouts, peaceful demonstrations, complains and others.
I'm like a dead goat and a dead goat fears no knife not even the sharpest of them all.

Conclusion

In summary, you can see from all the facts available that Nana Addo is a listening person, someone who feels, hears and does the cries of Ghanaians for them but Mahama on the other hand is an arrogant person who doesn't care about the cries of Ghanaians and therefore acts as like a dead goat towards them while dancing to an "yentie obiaa" tune in addition.
