Asuogyaman Seat is one of the Parliamentary Seats that the New Patriotic Party can easily snatch from the NDC if the Party is able to convince and force Kofi Osei-Ameyaw, the Director-General of the National Lottery Authority to contest the Seat in the 2020 Parliamentary Election.

President Akufo-Addo and Freddie Blay led leadership should do everything possible to compel Kofi Osei-Ameyaw to contest the Asuogyaman Seat again for the Party because Kofi Osei-Ameyaw is the most favourite candidate for the Asuogyaman Parliamentary Seat and the people of Asuogyaman readily accept him as their ultimate Parliamentary leader.

A group calling itself Asuogyaman Development Foundation in conjunction with Asuogyaman Devoted Ladies tested the popularity of Kofi Osei-Ameyaw on the grounds with about 40,000 Posters and calendars bearing the Picture of Kofi Osei-Ameyaw, and truly speaking, the grassroots gladly accepted and enthusiastically ordered for more Posters and Calendars of Kofi Osei-Ameyaw.

The Kofi Osei-Ameyaw "Sanbra Biom" slogan is very louder, clearest and ever stronger on the grounds awaiting his comeback as their MP.

Statistically, the Asuogyaman Constituency is the traditional stronghold of the NDC. The New Patriotic Party has never won a Presidential Election in the Constituency since 1992. The NDC has won the Asuogyaman Seat 5 times since 1992 whereas the NPP has won the Seat only 2 times (2004 and 2012) with Kofi Osei-Ameyaw as the Candidate.

Kofi Osei-Ameyaw has contested the Asuogyaman Seat on three occasions, won 2 and lost 1 in 2008.

Amazingly, a carefully looked at the quantum of votes, Kofi Osei-Ameyaw always had more votes than the Presidential Candidate of NPP in the Asuogyaman Constituency.

The highest votes obtained by a Parliamentary Candidate in the Asuogyaman Constituency is 20,750 votes in 2012 followed by 20,493 in 2016.

Kofi Osei-Ameyaw had 20, 750 votes in the 2012 Parliamentary Election on the ticket of NPP whereas Thomas Ampem Nyarko obtained 20,493 votes in the 2016 Parliamentary Election on the ticket of NDC. Based on the statistics, even though Kofi Osei-Ameyaw did not contest the 2016 Parliamentary Election, the NDC Parliamentary Candidate failed to surpassed the electoral performance of Kofi Osei-Ameyaw.

The Asuogyaman Constituency has proven that they love Kofi Osei-Ameyaw, the Constituency is prepared to vote overwhelmingly for him if he decides to contest the Asuogyaman Seat again in the 2020 general election.

Based on research findings in the Asuogyaman Constituency, apart from Kofi Osei-Ameyaw, any Parliamentary Candidate that the NPP will present in the 2020 Parliamentary Election will lose the seat miserably again.
