MTN Ghana, the leading telecommunications service provider in the country has announced the launch of its promotion dubbed “MTN Season of Surprises”. The MTN Season of Surprises allows MTN to connect to customers by giving away thousands of gifts in December, a season noted for giving.

Gifts to be given out during the season include:

·         Brand new handsets

·         Power banks

·         MTN exclusive souvenirs

·         Shopping vouchers

·         Free event tickets to MTN sponsored events

Further to these, social media lovers would also have a chance of being rewarded through a social media contest. Customers will be required to post videos of the preparation of their special jollof recipe for Christmas. In addition customers can also enter an MTN Karaoke contest by posting videos of themselves performing. Winner selection will be based on the decision of panel of judges, number of views, likes, retweets, and sharing of videos amongst others. Winners of the social media context will be given smarts phones and power banks.

Also on caller Tunez, a cash prize of GH¢ 30, 000 awaits the ultimate winner of the MTN Caller Tunez “Dance to the music” competition. This promo is available to all Caller Ring Back Tones (CRBT) subscribers as well as new CRBT subscribers. The promo gives customers the opportunity to download ring tones into their Caller Tunez libraries whilst winning exciting cash and consolation prizes.

As part of the Season of Surprises, MTN Ghana Foundation will be donating medical equipment valued at GH¢129,500 to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. The Foundation will also commission the MTN/UNDP ICT Center of Learning at Pawalugu, Tolon ICT Center at Tolon and launch Reading Clubs in the Northern Region. The Foundation will also sponsor Christmas parties for children.

This is the second edition of the MTN Season of Surprises. The promotion was initiated in 2014 to show appreciation to MTN’s loyal customers for their support to the brand.

Commenting on the MTN Season of Surprises, the Acting Chief Marketing Officer, Mr. Noel Ganson said, “at MTN we value our customers and make every effort to delight them with amazing products and services that will make their lives a whole lot brighter especially during the yuletide.  MTN is an organization that appreciates its customers and this season of surprises is meant to thank our customers for their loyalty to the brand, and for making us the leader in Ghana.”

MTN “Season of Surprises” is opened to only Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) subscribers.

Subscribers are however cautioned that MTN does not require any cash or purchase of recharge cards in order to redeem any prize won.  MTN is urging customers to verify from any of our service centers or call 100 for details of MTN promotions.
