Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke is in London to try to finalise Arsene Wenger’s new three-year deal.
The club’s majority shareholder attended Saturday’s victory, confirming the Frenchman’s new contract is top of the boardroom agenda.
Kroenke, who also met chief executive Ivan Gazidis at the weekend, will attend the club’s next board meeting, with Wenger virtually certain to prolong his stay at the Emirates, with a contract worth close to £24million on the table.
