The first case of Ebola has been diagnosed in the U.S., federal health officials confirmed on Tuesday.
A male patient, who recently traveled from Liberia in West Africa to Dallas, Texas, is said to be critically ill and has been kept in isolation at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital since Sunday.
Health authorities were tracking down family and friends who may have had close contact with the patient and could be at risk of the deadly virus. However at present, there are no other suspected cases in Texas.
