Police have fired teargas and stun grenades on Wednesday to disperse striking Nehawu workers who had earlier burst into Parliaments's police portfolio committee room and disrupted proceedings.
A group of about 100 protesters entered the Good Hope Chamber where the committee was discussing recommendations for the provincial police commissioners who issued a statement in support of Riah Phiyega.
