An Australian doctor with extensive cave-diving experience has joined the effort to rescue the 12 Thai soccer players and their coach stuck in a cave.
Dr Richard Harris is an anaesthetist from Adelaide who went into the cave at the request of Thai authorities, the Australian reported.
Dr Harris, 53, assessed the health of the 12 boys and their coach before giving the go-ahead for the rescue operation to proceed.
He joins 18 other Australians helping in the rescue efforts.
